Ten percent of what you pay us goes to one of the charities we’ve chosen via Charity Navigator. And you get to choose which one!
#1 The Equal Justice Initiative
EJI is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.
Why we chose this charity
Our society is awakening to the disparities in the treatment of people of color. The Equal Justice Initiative has a perfect score on Charity Navigator. Besides its judicial work, it also has educational initiatives, which made this selection even more appealing.
#2 Cancer Research Institute
Established in 1953, the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to harnessing the immune system’s power to conquer all cancers. We fund the most innovative research by young scientists, invest in clinical studies of promising new treatments, and serve as a bridge between the lab and the clinic.
Why we chose this charity
Cancer is still being fought with toxic chemicals (chemotherapy). However, there are promising innovative treatments on the horizon, including immunotherapy. This is a cancer charity that we can support!
#3 American Humane
American Humane is committed to ensuring the safety, welfare and well-being of animals. For more than a hundred years American Humane has been first in promoting the welfare and safety of animals and strengthening the bond between animals and people. We are first to serve, wherever animals are in need of rescue, shelter, protection or security.
Why we chose this charity
Animal welfare is a popular charity and an important one. But we wanted to find one with a good rating, where most of the money that is contributed goes to the animals. American Humane fits the bill. It is a broad-based animal welfare organization established way back in 1877!
#4 Acadia Center
Acadia Center is a non-profit organization committed to advancing the clean energy future. Through research and advocacy, it works to empower consumers and offer real-world solutions to the climate crisis for all.
Why we chose this charity
How could we not include a charity on fighting climate change? This charity is based in Maine but works across the United States. We chose this particular one because of its perfect rating on Charity Navigator and its focus on clean energy.
